The annual Great Forest Park Balloon Race and Balloon Glow<\/a> takes place in Forest Park, and Metro Transit makes it easy to enjoy all the fun while avoiding traffic and parking.<\/p>\n

Balloon Glow \u2013 Friday, September 20<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

Metro will operate additional MetroLink trains Friday evening for the Balloon Glow at the Central Fields in Forest Park. The Balloon Glow begins at dusk and goes until 9 p.m. A fireworks show begins at 9:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

Ride MetroLink to the Central West End Transit Center to get to the Balloon Glow.\u00a0The transit center is a little over a half mile from Central Fields. MetroBus is also a great option. There are nine MetroBus routes that serve the transit center.<\/p>\n

Great Forest Park Balloon Race \u2013 Saturday, September 21<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

The Great Forest Park Balloon Race begins at noon on Saturday. Ride MetroLink or MetroBus to the Central West End Transit Center and walk to the starting line at Central Fields.<\/p>\n

Please note that Metro will not\u00a0be operating special bus shuttle service to or from the Balloon Glow or Balloon Race.<\/p>\n
